Commercial/Complex Litigation Paralegal Norfolk, VA

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial/Complex Litigation Paralegal. The ideal Candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will have experience in one or more areas of law handling complex litigation matters, including but not limited to (Civil, Commercial or Complex Litigation matters) and familiarity utilizing E-discovery tools ex. Relativity and Concordance. The candidate will be responsible for blue booking, cite checking, heavy record review, conducting legal research, drafting legal pleadings, discovery demands, responses, motions, and other legal documents, drafting routine correspondence, managing case files, Court calendars, assisting with client intake meetings, managing case files and e-filing documents in Court and other administrative duties on ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities

  • Review voluminous legal documents, draft pleadings, routine legal documents (discovery documents and motions), blue book, cite check, and conduct legal research
  • Create and maintain case files and attorney and Court Calendar/Docket as needed
  • Assist and meet with clients, handle client intake, and maintain valued relationships
  • Facilitate organization strategies to meet attorney deadlines efficiently
  • E-file legal documents and be knowledgeable in one or more areas of complex litigation matters
  • Participate in fact investigation and adhere to state and federal compliance regulations/laws while maintaining the proper storage and confidentiality of client information

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in commercial/complex litigation as a Paralegal (Civil Litigation experience is a must)
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate and commensurate experience
  • Excellent Written and Oral skills and must be an effective communicator
  • Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite and Legal Research Search Engines

Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $65,000 to $80,000.00 and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
