Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager with expertise in managing ground-up construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of project execution, from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Management:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scopes and ensure alignment with objectives.
- Oversee all phases of ground-up construction, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Team Coordination:
- Lead project teams, including subcontractors, field staff, and consultants, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Conduct regular meetings to review project progress, address challenges, and ensure milestones are met.
- Budget & Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage change orders effectively.
- Approve invoices, track expenses, and provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards, client expectations, and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure safety compliance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and foster future opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with significant experience in ground-up projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in size and complexity.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices for ground-up projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, contracts, and specifications.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certifications:
- PMP Certification or other project management credentials are a plus.
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
