Commercial Sheet Metal Installer/Fabricator at Sunstate Mechanical Services Shift: Monday - Fridays 8am-4:30pm (Some Saturdays dependent on job site) Hourly Rate: $22-35 (DOE) Location: Office Location is 2507 W. Erie Dr., Suite 103 Tempe, AZ 85282. This job does require travelling across the greater Pheonix Area (sites will vary based on the job)Requirements:
- You must be 18 years old.
- You must be eligible to work in the U.S
- You must be able to pass a drug test.
- You must be able to pass a motor vehicle history check.
- For safety reasons, you must be able to speak English.
- You must have your own tool kit.
- A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required.
- Able to lift up to 30lbs.
Job Duties: As you might expect, technical work and customer service is at the heart of what your job will entail. For the most part, you'll be:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures based on blueprints and specifications
- Operate various tools and machinery such as forklift, Cleat formers, Bar Folders, Shears, Roll Former, Band Saw, Rotary Machine, Flangers, notchers etc, Welders etc
- Must have basic understanding of HVAC items that need to be built.
- Install, Alter, Fabrication, and Repair Sheet Metal Products, Equipment Ducts, and Hoods for HVAC Systems
- Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal components
- Responsible for teaching apprentices.
- Additional duties as required
