About Our Client General Contractor, based in Cranston RI, is looking for a Superintendent to join their growing team! Offering services in: Preconstruction, General Contracting, Design/Build, & Construction Management. Specializing in Public, Institutional/Higher Ed, Lab/Lifescience, & Commercial Projects up to $50M in value Projects in RI, MA and CT
Job Description The Superintendent is responsible for:
- Leading ground-up & renovation (commercial, academic, lifescience, public, etc.) projects up to $50M
- Making educated decisions related to the performance of all work-related activities
- Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all individuals involved in the project
- Understanding construction layout, methods of sequence, and how to read plans and specifications
- Maintaining strict build-out schedule and making course corrections as needed to ensure deadlines are met
- Managing subcontractors, field team, project schedule, etc.
- Ensuring work site safety compliance
- Accurately processing paper work
- Identifying and resolving local problems on site
- Performing job specific tasks, as necessary, on projects

The Successful Applicant The right Superintendent has the following qualifications:
- Commercial, Lifescience, or Academic project experience (required)
- 7+ years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor (required)
- OSHA 30
- Construction-related degree (highly preferred)
- Computer skill & familiarity with construction softwares (Newforma, Microsoft, etc.)
