If it does, please apply today.Commercial Insurance ProducerThe commercial insurance producer is responsible for prospecting and selling commercial insurance to new clients, account-rounding and cross-selling additional coverages to clients and retaining existing accounts.The commercial insurance producer will be responsible for:
- Actively search for commercial insurance prospects, schedule appointments, make sales presentations, and close new business accounts.
- Maintain prospect list of the insurance agency's targeted business in the agency prospect system.
- Complete insurance applications for Account Managers to submit to appropriate insurance companies.
- Arrange payment terms for all accounts in accordance with agency credit and collections policy.
- Cooperate in gathering information on assigned accounts for renewal marketing and handling per agency procedures. Deliver policies and/or binders on assigned accounts following agency guidelines and timeframes.
- Attend company sales meetings, sales seminars, and educational activities needed to improve sales techniques and stay up to date on the latest developments in the marketplace.
- Participate in/direct any special projects at leadership's request.
- Travel will be required. Most travel will occur within 100 miles of Williamsport, PA, but situations may require longer travel occasionally.
The commercial insurance producer will develop and implement an approved sales business plan, based on the insurance agency's sales goals, while meeting annual new business sales goals.The commercial insurance producer position requires the following qualifications and education:
- Appropriate state insurance license(s) preferred but will train the right candidate.
- Minimum three (3) years demonstrated, measurable sales success
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong understanding of insurance sales methodology.
- Understanding of prospecting software tools is desirable.
- Familiarity with insurance risk assessment and risk management techniques.
- Two- or four-year college degree desirable, but not required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a must.
The commercial insurance producer is a full-time position which offers:
