We are currently searching for a Commercial Lending Assistant to work onsite from our Operations Center in Columbus Grove, OH with the potential to work out of one of our branch locations.
Under the direction of the Loan Operations Manager or the Commercial Relationship Officer Market Manager of the bank, the Commercial Lending Assistant assists Commercial Lender(s) with customer requests, documentation requests, various reports and other general customer service-related issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
Commercial Assistant:
* Performs administrative duties, such as typing, filing or routine clerical work. Arranges appointments, and closings for Commercial Lender(s).
* Ensures due diligence is present and has been completed on loan requests prior to closing. Assists Lenders with loan presentations, commitment letters, annual reviews and other documentation. Reviewing loans to make sure that they are in accordance with Lender's request, Bank Policy, and regulatory requirements.
* Assist Lenders in maintaining accurate financial information on customers. This includes monitoring & requesting updated financial information by letter and phone.
* Request loan document packages for closing, and then processing the closing package for loan servicing to upload and fund the loan. This may include sending documents for recording. Also monitoring of closing exceptions to complete the file.
* Will act as a liaison with Clients, Loan Servicing, Loan Processing, Asset Management, Loan Review, Credit Analysis, and all third party suppliers (i.e. legal counsel, appraisers, etc.). Will schedule loan closings with Title Companies, Customer and Lender when applicable.
* Assists in building customer relationships by handling incoming calls and emails to assure timely response of queries while maintaining an office presence in the absence of the Commercial Lender(s).
* Work with customers and make sure that questions on existing loans and pending requests are answered in a timely manner or directed to the proper department or employee.
Branch Operations:
* Keep abreast of changes in products, policies and procedures, and attend training as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Customer Service:
* Assists customers with resolution of account problems and issues.
* Is responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer service.
Special requirements for the position:
* Prefer some form of secondary education and a minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial loan processing, servicing, documentation, or related position.
* Must have the capacity to work under stress and handle difficult situations.
