POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for managing the overall operation of the Loan Center and ongoing training of the staffs. Duties include reviewing new loan and servicing requests and assigning new loan and servicing requests to underwriters or others. Also responsible for monitoring and maintaining adequate asset quality and recommending, planning and advising liquidation process, where appropriate, to CAD and SAD.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manages the overall operation of the commercial loan underwriting
* Builds and supports a team or teams of lenders and support staffs and provide ongoing training to the staffs
* Reviews new loan, renewal, refinance, and service requests
* Assigns processing of new loan and service requests to appropriate member of the Loan Center
* Conducts customer interviews and make site visitations for the purposes of screening new loans and monitoring existing loans
* Recommends credit decisions to the credit approval authorities
* Enforces and maintains timely processing of new loan, renewal, refinance, and service requests
* Monitors and maintains adequate asset quality
* Supervises preparation of internal and external credit reviews and audit examinations
* Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training
* Performs projects related to the operation of the Loan Center as assigned by Director of Loan Center
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
* Extensive knowledge of Bank operating procedures
* Extensive knowledge and experience in credit lending
* A working knowledge of all Federal and State laws and rules and regulations of the Federal Reserve related to credit lending
* Ability to train new personnel and evaluate their performance
* Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all types of customers and co-workers
* Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule
* Good inter-personal skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in lending
