Brown & Brown is seeking a
Commercial Lines Claims Advocate to join our growing team in
White Plains, NY. The Commercial Lines Claims Advocate will partner with the sales and service team in retention of the business by providing comprehensive claims management services to clients.
How You Will Contribute: - Responsible for the administration and advocacy of claims in accordance with company and state regulations and timeframes.
- Obtain, analyze, and critique adjuster's notes for claims, while evaluating files for settlement and reserve potential.
- Proactively manage and communicate claim status with clients, service and sales teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert for sales and service teammates with respect to claims progression.
- Provide sales and service teams with applicable loss information and claims analysis for the completion of stewardship report. Complete loss summaries periodically for assigned accounts
- Recommend new approaches, policies. and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Identify potential errors and omissions exposures, implement proeredvres which will minimize or eliminate same, and provide recommendations to sales and service teams to reduce risks.
- Analyze loss history and current policy information to identify trends and opportunities to reduce gaps in coverage.
- Maintain claims information in Agency Management System in accordance with agency guidelines.
- Build courteous and successful relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to improve client retention. Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Licenses and Certifications: - Willingness to obtain Property and Casualty Insurance Producer license, within first year of employment.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:- Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
- Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
- Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
- 5+ years' experience working with Property & Casualty insurance claims.
- College Degree in a business-related field.

Pay Range$36.06 - $38.46 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
