- Oversees delegation of duties within the team.
- Oversight of team members' timecards, including PTO management.
- Completes performance reviews and provides coaching and development for Commercial Lines team members.
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training of team members.
- Attends internal office meetings as necessary.
- Conduct monthly team meetings.
- Monitor team reports and hold team members accountable for outstanding items.
- Manage commercial book of business.
- Keeps P & C License active and increases insurance knowledge by attending continuing education classes.
- Handles other duties as assigned.
- Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Skills and experience you'll need:A successful candidate will have an active P&C license, as well as the following:
- Five years of experience in commercial insurance.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook)
Bonus points if you have:
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Previous working knowledge of Insurance Agency Management software programs, preferably Applied software Epic.
- Industry designations.
