Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled Associate to join their Commercial Litigation team in New York. As a member of the Commercial Litigation team, you will join a leading national law firm working on complex litigation matters. Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in all aspects of commercial disputes, including initial claims investigation, document collection and retention, pleadings, discovery, expert witnesses, trial, arbitration, and appeal.
  • Aggressively take cases to trial when effective settlements are not possible.
  • Handle litigation in federal and state courts, before judges and juries, and at arbitration forums and administrative agencies.
  • Represent a diverse client base, including financial institutions, healthcare providers, construction companies, energy, and oilfield service companies.
  • Provide strategic counsel on a wide range of issues, including contract disputes, antitrust matters, business crimes, energy litigation, class actions, environmental issues, intellectual property disputes, product liability, securities, and whistleblower cases.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Experience in commercial litigation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state court procedures and rules.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with e-discovery and managing large data sets is preferred.
