Job Title: Commercial Litigation Attorney
Job Overview: A distinguished law firm in New York City is seeking a dedicated and highly experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney. The firm handles a wide array of commercial and real estate litigation cases, providing comprehensive legal services for businesses of all sizes within the New York metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will manage complex litigation matters and work alongside the firm's partners, handling cases from inception to trial across multiple court venues, including federal, state, and city courts.
Duties:
- Manage an active caseload with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate closely with firm partners on high-stakes commercial and real estate litigation cases.
- Conduct discovery, draft substantive motions, and engage in motion practice.
- Represent clients in court hearings and administrative proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research and case investigation.
- Participate in all aspects of litigation, including depositions, pre-trial motions, and trial preparation.
- Advocate for clients in state, federal, and appellate courts, with a focus on Manhattan and Brooklyn venues.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of commercial litigation and/or real estate litigation experience.
- Licensed attorney in good standing with the New York State Bar.
- Admitted to practice in New York State.
- Strong litigation experience in federal, state, and city courts.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team setting.
- Experience handling cases from inception to trial.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to the New York State Bar (Required).
Skills:
