General Purpose

The Commercial Loan Processor I is responsible for managing loan documentation through the Bank's established systems, reviewing it to ensure it is completed accurately and that it complies with current banking regulations and policies.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Produces accurate loan documents via the loan documentation platform (LaserPro) in accordance with the Bank's loan processing procedures.
  • Assists all lending support staff with documentation or procedural questions.
  • Manages work flow within assigned area of responsibility and assists other team members as time allows.
  • Identifies missing or incomplete documentation necessary for loan files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of loan regulations and various methods of collateral perfection (e.g. real estate, titled property, Uniform Commercial Code (UCCs).
  • Proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Experience with LaserPro is a plus.
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform job duties with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.

Education or Formal Training:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years of loan processing experience preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required; it would require the ability to reach for and lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee may have to lift up to 25 pounds. Starting Rate of Pay is from $17.50 to $22.50 per hour, depending on experience.
