Summary: The successful Commercial Property Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation and management of a portfolio of commercial properties and will value working closely and collaboratively with the property management team, tenants, and vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and positive client relations. Strong administrative skills will be essential in maintaining accurate records, coordinating maintenance requests and documentation, and assisting with financial tasks and reporting. Compensation: Salary = $65,000 - $85,000 potentialEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Assists with and is active in the overall management of a portfolio of retail, office and smaller residential properties. The assistant commercial property manager is engaged in conducting property showings and inspections, preparing marketing materials, and gathering market research along with participating in lease negotiations and tenant screenings. In addition, the assistant commercial property manager supports the property management company and its operations team by maintaining organized files, lease agreements, tenant records, and property-related documents, The assistant commercial property manager serves as a point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests, coordinating move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewal while ensuring tenant compliance with lease terms and property rules. They collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to schedule repairs, inspections, and track work orders. Lastly, the assistant commercial property manager assists in rent collection and monthly financial and operational reporting. The position is based at the main office of a national real estate property management company located in south Orange County, California.   • 2 years' experience in a leasing or marketing role in commercial or residential real estate field.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in business, marketing, communications or another related field is preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Certificates and Licenses: California Real Estate Sales License Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial statements, or governmental regulations. Ability to interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Communication proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Basic Math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: Email. RESMAN, YARDI, ONSITE experience strongly preferred. Must be able to quickly adapt to new online, web-based programs used in the day-to-day management. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: The individual in this role will work in an office environment most of the time and regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this role. The individual will also frequently be required to walk and stand throughout the commercial community, greeting and speaking with residents, employees, and vendors daily.
