Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Ocean, NJ (Monmouth County)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal. The ideal Candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will be responsible for commercial title and survey work, including but not limited to (coordinate commercial real estate transaction closings, including maintaining closing checklist, preparation and distribution of signature page packages, preparation and review of settlement statements, and coordination with various transaction parties as required, assist with preparation and review of commercial real estate purchase and sale closing documents, assist with the preparation and review of loan documents (including UCC Financing Statements), order and review title commitments and survey, review same, prepare title, and survey objection letters and title/survey memoranda, and prepare escrow closing letters.
This candidate should feel comfortable working autonomously while relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
Responsibilities
Assist in drafting and reviewing real estate documents, including leases, purchase agreements, financing documents, and closing binders
Coordinate due diligence for real estate transactions, including title and survey review, zoning reports, and environmental assessments
Organize and maintain transaction files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate
Facilitate the closing process by preparing closing documents, managing closing checklists, and communicating with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties involved
Conduct legal research related to real estate matters, such as property laws, land use regulations, and other relevant issues
Coordinate and manage deadlines related to multiple real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with deadlines and deliverables
Draft and revise correspondence related to commercial leases, contracts, and other real estate agreements
Support attorneys in resolving disputes and assisting with real estate litigation as needed.
Maintain communication with clients and provide updates on case progress
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience (experience with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing transactions is preferred)
Paralegal certificate from an accredited program; Bachelors degree is a plus but not required
Strong knowledge of commercial real estate law and practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Experience with document management systems and real estate transaction management tools
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
