Your Role You will be responsible for overseeing and leading roofing crews as a leader of the crew, on projects from start to finish. This includes supervising crew members, ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and communicating effectively with superintendents and project managers. Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise, in the field, a team of roofing installers and laborers on commercial roofing projects
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, work orders and project plans to ensure proper execution of work
- Schedule and coordinate daily tasks and assignments for crew members
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, conducting safety meetings and training sessions
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
- Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and materials used
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the roofing process
- Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in the roofing industry
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
