In this role, you will play a crucial part in our construction projects by accurately estimating the costs of roofing and metal wall panel installations. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering quality work, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Estimate the costs of roofing and metal wall panel projects accurately and efficiently.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys to determine the scope of work.
- Analyze blueprints and drawings to identify potential challenges and develop solutions.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services needed for the project.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to generate cost estimates and proposals.
- Present estimates to clients and negotiate pricing as needed.
- Track and manage project costs throughout the bidding process.
- Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate pricing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating roofing and metal wall panel projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar programs is preferred.
- Experience with metal wall panel systems and roofing materials is a plus.
- Prefer 10+ years of commercial roofing experience.
