Job Description and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Coordinator for our Roofing and Sheetmetal Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Overseeing all aspects of the QA/QC department, including reporting.
* Reviewing and understanding construction documents, including plans/drawings and materials.
* Ensuring proper product applications and installations are conducted on job sites.
* Conducting job site quality inspections in partnership with division operations management, including meeting with operations teams, driving to work sites, and communicating with general contractors, management teams, owners' representatives, supervisors, foremen, quality reporters, and installers. Documenting work completed.
* Attending operational meetings related to jobs, such as mock-up, preconstruction, and production meetings.
* Collaborating with the operations department(s) to ensure mockups are completed before work starts.
* Assisting the QA/QC team and operations in worksite effectiveness by completing assigned site visit inspections, and other tasks as needed.
* Working with the Training and Development team to identify, schedule, coordinate, and conduct craft training events.
* Assisting in creating craft training material and events, as necessary.
* Completing, creating, and updating reports as needed.
* Ensuring QA/QC reporting is accurate and recorded properly.
* Performing other responsibilities as assigned.
Position Skills and Requirements:
* Extensive experience (5+ years) in commercial construction, specifically in roofing and sheet metal.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid driver's license.
* Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual candidates are a plus.
* Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
* Ability to handle multiple assignments and complete them with minimal guidance.
* Capability to anticipate and address foreseeable issues before they arise.
Education and Other Requirements:
* A four-year college degree or relevant work experience.
