Commercial Sales Representative Summary
As a Walsworth Sales Representative within our Commercial Sales division, you will be responsible for the direct sales process and achieving sales targets, business development, sales expansion and introduction of new products and services to existing print clients while maintaining and growing a book of business year over year. With the support of an assigned customer service team, you will service existing accounts and sell the organization's products and/or services to an assigned set of customers or a geographic region.
This role does not have any direct reports and is supervised by a Regional Sales Manager. This position is a full-time, Monday - Friday, salaried exempt role with the ability to work remotely with occassional travel to customers following a on-site new hire training at one of our Walsworth print production locations. Preferred start date is early Spring 2024.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets.
- Responsible for retaining long-term customer relationships with established clients. Ensures that clients receive high-quality customer service.
- Maintain post-sale contact with customers to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship.
- Serve as the primary contact for the assigned customers.
- Enhance the company's position and reputation by properly servicing and corresponding with all assigned accounts in a dependable and timely manner.
- Enhance customer relationships by working closely with customers on the development of targeted solutions and new business opportunities.
- Prepare and submit sales reports and documentation regarding results, opportunities, and challenges in the sales territory.
- Analyze sales reports and data to identify revenue and cost containment opportunities.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of products and services.
- Consult with customers to understand business issues and goals and works with the customer to develop improved solutions to business needs.
- Prepare quote requests for the accounts assigned.
- Maintain current print industry knowledge.
- Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales or relevant field with 5+ years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.
- Able to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC or other technical tools to complete work assignments.
- Salesforce or similar customer relationship management (CRM) software experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

- May require knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position such as CRM.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.
- Valid Driver's License
