General purpose of the job

Initiates and helps coordinate the sale and delivery of ready mix concrete and related products. Additionally, the position is responsible for interacting with customers, owners, quality control inspectors, Engineers/Architects and any other industry related persons within their market, in order to develop relationships that will allow the representative to get involved with their businesses and create opportunities for sales.

Individual accountabilities

* Maintain strong customer relationships and be proactive in understanding customer service.

* Maintain a strong grasp of all competitors' actions, prices and strategy.

* Develop action plans and establish objectives and goals to meet the divisional targets.

* Market Tracking for hard numbers and intelligence.

* Customer and Project Prospecting.

* Relationship Development.

* Administration - Computer usage for email, quoting, spreadsheets, contracts etc.

* Negotiates with customers, using active listening to address their concerns thoroughly and understand what they want from a purchase.

* Quote prices to projects large or small, providing our customers with written confirmation.

* Assisting in the coordination of deliveries to all projects large and small.

* Work with customers to resolve problems either internal or external.

* Spending 50% of time in the field working with project managers, superintendents and placing finishers.

* Maintain a daily log of customer calls and upcoming projects.

* Promoting value added and specialty products.

* Operate within safety, environmental policies and best practices.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.

Technical knowledge and certifications

* Salesforce CRM.

* Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.

Area of experience

* 3 - 6 years.

* Commercial sales experience in the building materials supply or associated industries - prefer geographic / territory understanding.

Languages

English C2: Advanced - Native

Annual Salary Range From: $84,400.00 to $105,500.00
