Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with electrical expertise in solar electric commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, electrical systems, and a passion for renewable energy. You will lead project teams, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for solar electric installations, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulations.
- Electrical Oversight: Apply electrical knowledge to assess and oversee the installation of solar systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local codes.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, electricians, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to electrical systems and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations and best practices.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular reports on project status, budget, and timeline to management and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best practices and processes for project management within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in the solar industry, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical design, installation, and safety standards for solar energy projects.
- Proven track record of managing commercial projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus but not required.
