**Commissioned Security Officer, Level III Certified, Full-time (Seguin, TX)**

Alitek Response Solutions is based in Houston, Texas and we help our clients protect their organizational assets which includes providing onsite security personnel.
**Job Responsibilities include:**
* Monitors entrances and exits; acts to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry; controls entrances, the movement of people and vehicles.
* Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
* Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process; precludes unauthorized access to facilities, and the conversion, theft or intentional destruction of physical assets.
* Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
* Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
* Responds to unusual or emergency situations at clients site using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established protocol.
* Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
* Patrols assigned site on foot; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations.
* Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to supervisor or company management.
* Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
* Prepares logs and reports as required.
**Requirements:**
* Level III Certification
* Hardworking, reliable and ethical professional
* Must pass a drug screen and background check
* Work will be performed in a security environment. The position is subject to long periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, crawling, running, climbing multiple flights of stairs, lifting of objects up to 50 pounds repetitively, and operating security vehicles. Exposure to variable weather conditions, firearms, hazardous materials and chemicals, possible infectious diseases, blood borne pathogens, and potentially aggressive/violent members of the public.
* Must have 20/20 vision, either corrected or uncorrected in each eye. Vision must be corrected by means of contact lenses or eyeglasses, which must be worn on duty and during all security activities. Must be free from night blindness and any other visual deficiency or limitation. Possess hearing with less than 30 Db loss, either corrected or uncorrected in each ear.
* Firearms qualification is mandatory with both semiautomatic pistol and shotgun. Must achieve a minimum score of 175 out of 250 on standard pistol qualification course and successfully complete a 25 round shotgun qualification course scored as pass/fail. Must be able to fire weapons with both hands.
* Must be able to complete a 300 meter sprint within 78 seconds.
* Fit for Work physicals will be required prior to employment, and may also be required during employment. Mandatory and random drug screening will be required throughout employment.
* Current armed security license for the State in which hired is required
