Job Description:
Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Commissioning & Start-up Manager in Casco, WI! The Commissioning & Start-up Manager is responsible for overseeing pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up while ensuring all activities align with safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements. You will implement and maintain a systems completion database, lead pre-commissioning and commissioning planning and execution, build and lead a high-performing commissioning and completions team, and uphold a strong safety culture. Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
  • Lead the systems completion process for projects ($100MM+) from initial planning through final handover, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Build and lead a dedicated commissioning and completions team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage development and execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning plans and procedures to ensure all systems are fully functional and compliant with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to facilitate seamless integration and completion of systems.
  • Provide clear commissioning priorities to construction to ensure that critical systems are ready for commissioning in a timely manner, minimizing project delays.
  • Act as a liaison with construction and operations teams to address any issues or conflicts that may arise to ensure Operations needs are met.
  • Develop and implement a systems completion database to track progress, manage documentation, and streamline communication among project stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks in systems completion and commissioning, developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, utilizing data from the systems completion database to highlight key milestones, challenges, and solutions.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on systems completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning processes and best practices, including the use of the database.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, systems completion, or a related field, preferably in industrial greenfield projects.
  • Strong understanding of systems completion processes, pre-commissioning and commissioning methodologies, and database management software.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, manage, and mentor cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Compensation range for this role is between $150,000 - $185,000
  • The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
  • This is a traveling role and will be located in Casco, WI for 12-18 months prior to moving to the next facility.
