Communications and Records Specialist
The Communications and Records Specialist position is in the Office of the Registrar, an administrative department within the department of Academic Affairs. The Registrar's Office ensures data integrity and accuracy of the student records system, supports the needs of the college community, and complies with college policy on confidentiality and the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. The Communications and Records Specialist handles the daily operations of office interactions, both physical and digital. They provide clear communication, ensure timely and accurate answers, support staff, students, faculty, and community needs, and engage in streamlining processes.
Work Schedule: part-time, 20 hours per week, 12 months
Essential Job Responsibilities:
* Primary Registrar's Office staff on operational duties such as interacting with visitors, email support, phone calls, daily projects, and other duties.
* Assists the Registrar's Office in enhancing and improving office procedures for the purpose of increased service to students, staff, and faculty.
* Process submitted forms including changes to major, minor, concentration, or advisor, registration changes, FERPA releases, personal information changes, among others.
* Ensure legal and ethical compliance with federal and state educational laws and guidelines.
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Experience with administrative work preferred
* Demonstrated performance with the Microsoft Office and Google Productivity Suites, especially MS Excel or Google Sheets
