St. Colette Catholic ChurchCommunications CoordinatorPosition OverviewWe are seeking a part-time Communications Coordinator who will create, coordinate, execute, monitor, and measure all parish communications and outreach to both active and inactive parishioners primarily utilizing the parish website, weekly bulletin, social media, graphic design and marketing strategies. The individual should be an excellent writer and have experience in website design, social media and graphic design. The ideal candidate will be a team player who organized, creative and self-motivated to lead this important ministry.Qualifications
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing; willing to uphold Catholic moral teachings; and lead a life consistent with the Catholic faith
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church, its mission to Unleash the Gospel, and Family of Parishes
  • BS/BA degree in marketing, new media, or a related field
  • Knowledge and expertise with multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Instagram
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics, keyword research, and SEO
  • Ability to deliver creative text, image, and video content
  • Familiar with marketing channels and online marketing strategies
  • Familiar with web design and publishing, including Weebly
  • Ability to grasp future digital technology trends and act on them proactively
  • Self-starter with excellent time-management skills/ability to multitask
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written communication and grammar skills
  • Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for all parish communications regarding parish events, programs, and evangelization outreach efforts, primarily through print materials, social media, and parish website
  • Oversee the design and layout of all parish communications, social media accounts, and parish website; suggest ways to optimize content
  • Design and edit graphics for print materials, websites, and social media as needed
  • Create print materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, posters, etc.), emails, digital links, website, landing and splash pages for direct marketing efforts
  • Design and produce video content for all parish communications, social media platforms, and parish website
  • Collaborate with parish staff members to develop relevant, meaningful print and digital content for advancing the mission of St. Colette Catholic Church
  • Coordinate and execute social media campaigns
  • Monitor and report on communications, website, and social media outreach and campaign success, including weekly and monthly reporting if requested
  • Manage the assigned budget for communications, social media efforts and social media management tools
  • Train coworkers on how to use communications and social media tools, and websites in a beneficial way
  • Ensure cohesiveness between staff and parish content on all parish communications, social media platforms and websites
  • Create an optimal schedule for posting social media and website content, considering both client engagement metrics as well as web traffic
  • Analyze engagement data and propose strategies to increase reach and engagement as needed
  • Stay abreast of current best practices in technology, parish communications, social media platforms, and websites
