Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00, based on experience. A personal car or transportation is required for this role which will work out of offices in both Lisle and Rosemont, IL, 2-3 days per week. Background: Morreale Communications is an award-winning woman-owned public relations firm with a specialty focus in transforming outcomes in the areas of Transportation, Infrastructure & Mobility (TIM), Health & Wellness, Energy & Utilities and Public Affairs. This position will support a project team within our TIM practice. Overview: The Communications Coordinator reports to the Senior Communications Director and supports the project team with managing various communications efforts. This includes diverse work for clientele in the fields of transportation and engineering. The Coordinator works to complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner, including the preparation of engineering and transportation-focused communication documents and presentations, internal and external communications, assistance with the execution of various reports, workshops and other applicable items and willingness to complete (and at some point own) day-to-day tasks. Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinates projects from inception to execution.
- Proofs and edits a wide range of deliverables, including technical reports and manuals, presentations, email and meeting correspondence and other deliverables deemed appropriate for the project.
- Leads open communication with team members and on projects, including the opportunity to support meetings (both internally and externally).
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with internal team members to share responsibilities and collaborate to execute team deliverables and projects.
- Ability to research, understand and communicate technicalissues.
- Attention to detail and ability to keep projects on schedule.
- Ability to support senior staff with in-person and virtual meetings (both internally and with clients).
- Ability to support multiple project deliverables simultaneously and stay organized to meet deadlines.
- Develops and coordinates initial correspondence and updates to project deliverables and coordinates with manager on approvals.
- Performs office management duties, as needed.
Position Qualifications:
- 1-2 years' professional experience.
- Understanding of Chicago-area media and transportation news.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to track multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong drafting and editing skills of correspondence and reports.
- Strong familiarity with state, local government and politics.
- Strong editing skills.
- Experience with Deltek useful.
Must have reliable personal transportation and be willing to travel, as needed, to client and Morreale offices (in Lisle and Rosemont, Illinois).
