Job Description Job Summary:Works in collaboration with other departments and members of the Corporate Communications team, plans, develops, and implements internal and external focused messaging delivered through a variety of traditional and non-traditional external and internal channels. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages requests from local leadership and team members to ensure proper resources are coordinated and assigned to support needs.
  • Develops communication plans and drafts supporting copy for local communication efforts, which may include some internal and external communications, including daily copywriting needs, press releases, speech writing, and internal team communication.
  • Supports and coordinates with Team Enhancements and/or Marketing on work products needed for local team activities and community events, including PR/media support for sponsored events.
  • Develops effective written communications based on information provided or gathered. Crafts accurate, concise, coherent content that is appropriate for the audience, the medium, and the assignment. This may include articles, presentations, speeches, scripts, talking points, outlines, and collateral material, or some combination of any or all of these. Work requires close collaboration with team members in Corporate Communications and other departments, and occasional interaction with senior organizational leadership to have messages proofed, approved, and appropriately distributed.
  • Learns to develop and implement moderately complex, comprehensive communications plans based on information provided or gathered, direction provided by client departments and department supervisors, and knowledge of available communications channels. Creates and executes organization-wide comprehensive communications plans for moderately complex strategic initiatives, as well as other issues that educate and inform the community and employee body. Requires close collaboration with team members in Corporate Communications and other departments, and occasional interaction with senior organizational leadership.
  • Assists in the development, launch, and management of internal programs and publications to improve communication throughout the organization. Requires close collaboration with team members in Corporate Communications and other departments and occasional work with senior organizational leadership.
  • Assists in managing corporate intranet content by utilizing the available content management systems. Posts text, images, and graphics to the internal intranet channel, updating, removing, and repeating content as necessary to keep the content fresh and meet the communications goals of the organization or submitting department.
  • Continuously strengthens industry and corporate knowledge and Interdepartmental relationships by using all available resources and opportunities to: 1) Build knowledge of the industry, the organization's role and contribution to the industry and relationship to its peers; 2) understand each division's and department's contributions to corporate success, and 3) establish strong relationships with peers and leaders across the footprint that contribute to efficient and effective communications within the organization.
  • Arranges for and supports audio, video, conference calls and other tools used by the department and organization as required.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Demonstrated internal and external print, online, and broadcast experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret highly technical information and translate it into easily accessible information
  • Ability to handle proprietary and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to build and maintain reputation as a reliable, confidential, and professional contributor to corporate efforts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft office products
