PositionSummaryUnder the direction of the President, theCommunications Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, andimplementing enterprise-wide and regional communication strategies andinitiatives. This role supports both internal and external corporatecommunications, ensuring alignment with company values, objectives, and overallbusiness strategies.Key responsibilities include managing relationsindications across multiple channels, serving as a primary liaison for mediarelations, and representing the company on councils and committees. SpecificResponsibilitiesManages all customer communications, including bill inserts, websites, and related mailings.Manages all internal and external corporate communications, ensuring consistency in messaging across multiple platforms while aligning with company values and business objectives.Assist in the communication of strategies or messages from senior leadership Supports the development of a communication plan for customer solutions tools like Everbridge, WaterSmart, and Invoice Cloud to improve customer satisfaction. Investigate and respond to the Company's Public Utility Commission complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution aligns with company policies and procedures.Manage the processing and payment of invoices related to communication projects and services, ensuring timely and accurate handling in accordance with company policies and budgetary guidelinesSupports employee internal communications (Snapcomms and Straight Talk) by working with departmental subject experts to obtain Serve as a representative of the Company on internal and external councils and committees, fostering collaboration and advocating for corporate interests and strategic goalsManage external communications (e.g., customer, website, social media, printed content) Collaborate with marketing and agencies to produce copy for advertisements or articles Collaborate with company-wide communication leadership teams to implement enterprise-wide projects or initiatives Create informational, educational, and/or promotional materials, both print and electronic.RequiredKnowledge Skills & AbilitiesPrevious experience as communications specialist for at least 3 yearsExperience in web design and content productionExperience in copywriting and editingSolid understanding of project management principlesKnowledge of MS Office suite; photo and video-editing softwareExcellent communication (oral and written) Outstanding organizational and planning abilitiesProficient command of EnglishExcellent communication skillsOutstanding organizational and time-management skillsRequiredEducation and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or relevant field.EEO StatementOur company provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
