Job Description:

The Communications and Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing and executing an overall communication and social media strategy to support Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System

to multiple audiences (parents/caregivers, donors, employees/future employees, and the medical community).

In this position, you will support the Director of Marketing and Communications in the development and implementation of communication strategies to both internal and external audiences. You will work with staff and patients to establish, maintain, and improve online communities and communication by leveraging established and emerging social media platforms. The overarching goal of this position will be to engage and acquire patients and employees through positive interactions on Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System's social media platforms and effective internal and external communications.

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Support the day-to-day functions of communications and content development that align with the strategic initiatives of Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System.

* Develop social media content for Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System's social channels that may include, but are not limited to, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.

* Ensure that all communications are aligned with the system's brand and are presented with audience-appropriate tone and language.

* Monitor and engage with stakeholders on social media (respond to comments promptly, answer questions, identify potential issues and trending content, etc.)

* Lead social media listening.

* Identify stories and produce high-quality written materials for HRHS electronic, print, newsletters, web, video, and media outlets.

* Develop and maintain an editorial calendar and oversee all efforts to publicize special activities, services, and events.

* Work with the marketing team to develop and place social media advertising to support patient acquisition, patient retention, and other growth strategies.

* Monitor and measure the impact of internal communications programs. Use a data-driven strategy to revise and recommend new strategies, channels, resources, and tools.

* Serve as a collaborative resource about social media strategy, trends, and best practices.

MINIMUM KNOWLDEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

* Superior and relevant writing and editing capabilities for internal and external audiences. (A portfolio of recent writing will be requested).

* Robust understanding of the quickly-evolving paid and organic social media environments and demonstrated ability to manage a well-established and large social media presence.

* Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to develop working relationships and effectively communicate with all levels throughout the organization.

* An eye for detail and research to gain audience insights on what motivates, engages, and defines the call to action in communications efforts.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Associate's degree or higher required, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or other related fields.

* 3+ years of proven work experience in freelancing, writing, journalism, media relations, or content marketing for a brand.

* Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms, strategies, and trends (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Google Business) by showcasing social communities you have managed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* Experience using Sprout Social or Hootsuite.

* Familiarity using Adobe Creative Cloud.
