COMPENSATION: $57,361.00 to $106,984.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our OpportunityThe Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of internal and external corporate communications that maintain Farm Credit Mid-America's vision, brand and culture. This role will create corporate communications to meet business objectives in customer and team member communications, regulatory communications, reputation management, and crisis communications that engage, inform and inspire.
How You Will Spend Your Time - Assist with written materials, including press releases, Q&As, presentations, fact sheets and website content.
- Help coordinate media outreach and coverage with media releases, TV/radio interviews, feature stories, PSAs, press conferences, etc.
- Support communications for the Farm Credit Mid-America and Rural 1st brands.
- Support the development of multimedia content such as infographics, fact sheets, presentations, etc. as needed.
- Coordinate photography and videography for/of events, activities, etc. for use in publications, media, etc. and ensure appropriate releases are signed and filed; maintain graphics & photo files.
- Provide clear and concise internal communications that reflect Farm Credit Mid-America's culture, brand, and key audiences.
- Support Brand Experience division priority projects, including internal and external events, volunteer programs, etc.
- Provide support for corporate intranet and internal content, updating and refreshing as needed.
- Participate on teams where appropriate to support communication strategies and content.
- Support corporate communications content and editorial calendar efforts.
- Partner with and assist other business units, content owners and project stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement solutions that drive usage, streamline processes and facilitate internal and external communications.
- Assist with tracking and reporting on communications' performance metrics.
- Coordinate with the communications managers to address stakeholder inquiries and feedback.
- Support the communications manager in crisis communication efforts as needed.
Minimum Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or related degree. At least two years of successful experience in communications, customer experience or marketing in a corporate environment.
