Responsibilities

The Graduate Enrollment Specialist works closely with the Program Manager for Recruiting and Marketing in all aspects of recruiting, marketing, and communications with prospective, admitted, and current graduate students. The Graduate Enrollment Specialist utilizes data, recruitment strategies, and the Slate system to communicate with and encourage applications and enrollment in graduate programs.

Coordinating for the Graduate School to improve existing communications and implement new comprehensive recruitment and communication strategies through a variety of mediums that will identify, attract, admit, enroll and retain a highly qualified graduate student population.

Works with marketing and recruiting data to integrate within the Slate system. Collaborates with other Graduate School staff, colleges and departments to assess communication needs, target audiences, and messaging. Works with marketing and recruiting data to produce reports as needed to assess how well communications are working.

Implements business processes for effective departmental and cross-departmental and college-wide functions related to communications, recruitment, admissions and enrollment. Institutes industry best practices for graduate recruitment

Develops and implements new internal and external communications to promote graduate education. Develops and implements new internal and external communications to promote graduate education. Travels to conferences and fairs to recruit graduate students.

Works on special projects as assigned by the Chief of Staff and Program Manager for Recruitment and Marketing. Performs other related duties as required or directed.

Creates marketing materials and other communications through a variety of mediums. This includes, but is not limited to, designing communications using industry graphic design software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to five years. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to interpret academic program requirements and provide advice.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to utilize problem solving skills.

Knowledge of academic resources available to students.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

Knowledge of principles and practices of academic program planning, development, and evaluation.

Anticipated Salary Range

Salary in the low to mid $40,000's, commensurate with education and experience.
