Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a? Communications Technician for the?USV Operations and Sustainment program?supporting Astrion?Navy Division.

LOCATION:?San Diego, California

JOB STATUS:?Full-Time

TRAVEL:?Some travel may be required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• SECURITY CLEARANCE:?Current active Secret Clearance or Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• CITIZENSHIP:? Current U.S. Citizenship Required.
• CERTIFICATIONS:?N/A
• EDUCATION: Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years managing technical programs for US Navy, USCG, or DoD maritime projects.
• 5+ years experience as a technician for military communications equipment
• Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing RF equipment
• Experience operating, maintaining, and repairing Satellite Communications equipment
• Eligible for a Secret security clearance
• Physically able to work on small boats and ships

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Current Secret security clearance
• Experience with cryptographic equipment and procedures
• Experience with unmanned systems

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and operate line-of-sight and SATCOM digital communications equipment
• Handle and load cryptographic equipment
• Support at-sea testing of unmanned systems for the US Navy.

SALARY RANGE: Estimated $75,000 - $90,000 USD annually**depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
