SALARY RANGE: $15.00 - $30.00 Hourly
BACKGROUND CHECK: Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint screening and must be successfully completed.
PROBATION: All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory 6-month probation.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Community Aide works within one of our various divisions of Transportation. This is a full-time position, and the schedule may include evening or weekend hours.
A community aide is a professional who provides administrative support and services as needed, performing clerical or administrative duties such as the completion of necessary paperwork and reporting, data entry, answering phone calls, xeroxing and emails and processing paperwork. Incumbents will receive general supervision from a technical supervisor.
Actual functional title and job duties will vary based on placement. The ideal candidate must be professional, communicate effectively, and follow written and oral directions. The Community Aide is dependable, and customer service focused.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Six months of professional experience; document management clerical experience.
