Compensation Range: $26/hr - $28/hr commensurate with experience.Overview: The Community Outreach Manager leads a collaborative effort across Housing Works' network of programs to enhance outreach efforts, map current outreach and testing events, and develop new strategies to reach high-risk populations. The Outreach Manager will identify gaps and opportunities in the outreach strategy and improve coordination across various programs to increase the engagement of individuals at risk for HIV, viral hepatitis, and STIs. In addition, the Outreach Manager is responsible for developing and implementing systems to track the number of incoming referrals and generating monthly reports on program performance. They will create new strategies to increase program enrollment and will work to establish new partnerships to support these efforts.Responsibilities:
- Supervise three Peer Specialists
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement an outreach strategic plan reflecting a centralized outreach strategy for HIV prevention services
- Develop and cross-train Prevention Services and Harm Reduction Services outreach staff to implement status-neutral, risk-agnostic HIV outreach and prevention services with the priority populations.
- Coordinate with external partners to increase the number HIV testing events and testing services, PrEP information sessions, and other outreach events
- Create and implement systems to track the number of referrals in the program, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Generate monthly outreach and referral metrics reports, including testing and enrollment data.
- Develop and execute new strategies to increase program enrollment and establish partnerships to enhance outreach efforts.
- Train, observe, and provide feedback to outreach staff, documenting performance.
- Maintain targets for outreach and testing contracts, with performance above 80%.
- Utilize team meetings to communicate program objectives and progress.
- Coordinate event production, work with outside vendors, and support staff for outreach events.
- Facilitate meetings, ensuring all staff are informed and organized for outreach and testing events.
- Participate in coalitions and committees, such as N.Y. Knows.
- Ensure outreach event materials are organized and available for events.
- Oversee programmatic outreach activities, including street outreach, shelters, health fairs, and house balls.
- Conduct rapid testing in the field and provide pre-and post-test counseling.
- Integrate Housing Works' Viral Load Suppression, PrEP, and Hepatitis C Programs into outreach efforts.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in human services, supervising and managing high-level meetings.
