Job Type Full-time Description The Community Collaborations Manager is responsible for implementing, managing and/or facilitating prevention programming across the agency and with outside partnerships. This includes health education groups, and harm reduction supply distribution and outreach. The Community Collaborations Manager reports to the Deputy Director of Prevention Division, or their designee, for supervision and programmatic assignments. Essential Functions:
- Act in accordance with Victory Programs, Inc.'s Standards of Excellence & Philosophy of Care at all times, including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality and working from a strength based perspective using evidence based practices (MI, CBT, Harm Reduction etc.).
- Ensure that the program is in compliance with all statutory and contractual requirements and that policies are being observed and administered by the staff in order to provide proper delivery of services to the highest quality.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for prevention programming including, but not limited to, family planning services, psychoeducational groups, overdose prevention and response trainings, street outreach and harm reduction resource distribution.
- Supervise and support the Behavioral Health Community Partners Coordinated Care Hub program
- Work in conjunction with the Testing and Outreach Manager for scheduling and coordination of MPT programming.
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team of the low-threshold respite center to provide testing, groups, and outreach services.
- Join Specialists in the field for street based and venue-based outreach, testing events and psychoeducational groups.
- Coordinate, recruit for, get trained in and facilitate high impact prevention (HIP) evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to: Safer Sex Skills Building, and psychoeducational groups.
- Coordinate and provide individual and group overdose and drug user health education sessions throughout the agency, and in the community.
- Build relationships and present on prevention and education programs to outside agencies and consumer groups.
- Coordinate and provide training and consultation to agency staff regarding HIV/AIDS, STI, HCV and Transgender health resources.
- Assist with the preparation of any reports or proposals necessary for program operations.
- Maintain integrity of all data relating to utilization of programs and services.
- Provide weekly supervision for staff.
- Attend weekly supervision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, high school education or equivalent, required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising direct care staff.
- Prior experience in implementing psychoeducational, clinical and/or community-based health education programs strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis, homelessness, substance use, STIs, and sex work as well as health-related social issues faced by persons who use drugs.
- Demonstrated competence in service coordination and networking with other human service and health care providers.
- Phlebotomy certification/experience or a willingness to be trained in phlebotomy.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and the internet.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex and drug cultures, age groups, religion, country of origin, disability and economic status.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including an ability to have open and affirming conversations about sex and substance use risk.
- Ability to work in an environment that involves potentially hazardous materials (blood borne pathogens, discarded syringes, etc.) and situations that require safety precautions and/or the use of protective equipment.
- Current TB assessment and current CPR certification (agency provided upon hire).
- Bilingual capacity preferred.
