We are seeking passionate individuals for the role of Community Detention Administrator IV, so come join our team and make a meaningful impact on youth and the community at DJS!\n\n\nThe Community Detention Administrator IV of Community Detention (CD) is responsible for providing administrative supervision of the regional CD operations. This includes the Community Field Operations, the Command Center, and the GPS/CDRR Rapid Response Teams. The Community Detention Administrator will work directly with the Executive Directors of Safety Services to ensure that the departmental goals are being met and that the CD and GPS standard operating procedures are carried out.\n\n\nThe CD Program houses two very critical functions: providing direct supervision and surveillance for\nyouth court ordered into an alternative to detention and placed on home detention, and youth requiring GPS supervision to track movements 24/7 in the community. Both facets of the operation are directly related to public safety. Requiring the CD Administrator to work closely with their team to ensure compliance, requiring periods of On-Call Administrative duties due to the 24/7 operational needs.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \nExperience:Six years of administrative staff or professional work. \nNotes: \n1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.\n2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience. \n3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or universityfor five years ofthe requiredexperience. \n4.Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \nSELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must meet the minimum and selective qualifications to be considered. Include\nclear and specific information on your application regarding your\nqualifications.\n\n\n\nCandidates for this position must\npossess one year of experience with CD and GPS Operations.\n\n\n\nDESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nThe\npreferred candidate for this position may possess any of the following\nqualifications:\n\n\n Three years of experience supervising employees in the performance\n of work.\n\n\n Three years of experience ensuring CD and GPS standard operating\n procedures are implemented.\n\n\n Experience providing supervision and guidance to juveniles in a court-ordered\n community or home detention program.\n\n\n Experience providing supervision and guidance to youth in a juvenile\n facility or juvenile services community program for at-risk youth.\n\n\n Must possess at\n least six months or more of experience working in an Administrator role.\n\n\n\n\n\nLIMITATIONS ON SELECTION\nThis\nrecruitment is limited to current employees of DJS - Probation/Aftercare services, Pre-adjudication Services,\nIntake Operations, ResidentialServices, and Evening Reporting.\n\nLICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONSEmployees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.
