Work experience with programs such as CDBG, HOME Program, HARRP, and LIHEAP is beneficial to this role. This position requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Providing technical assistance and maintaining databases for program participants is an aspect of work. Problem solving while managing intake applications and providing information in a diplomatic manner is a priority for the person in this position.PM21Position Requirements Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial intake assessments with clients to determine their needs and eligibility for services.
- Gather and review relevant information.
- Provide information to clients about available services, eligibility requirements, and program procedures.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to maintain confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Work is detailed and requires you to communicate effectively and efficiently with individuals inside and outside the organization.
- While maintaining and tracking applications, you will need to compile and organize materials for current and future program applicants.
The candidate for this position would have a combination of education of high school graduate or equivalent supplemented by additional business and/or computer courses and 2 years' in administrative support duties. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, equipment, and various computer products, including Microsoft programs, will be essential in this role. If you are selected to fill the role of Community Development Program Intake, you will need to present a valid North Carolina Driver's License, pass the pre-employment drug screen and background screening process.
