Community Interface Services are seeking a reliable Aide to join our team in our Community Integration program. At the core of our services, we believe that people with intellectual/developmental disabilities are in the best position to determine how they want to live, and that they should be valued and included in society. Key Responsibilities As a Community Engagement Aide, you will be working with one individual who is interested in participating in their local community. He enjoys volunteering, working out, and exploring different parts of the community. As you work together with this person, you will:
- Support them in exploring volunteer opportunities and their local community
- Plan social and recreational activities to expand on their network
- Assist with mobility training to increase independence in accessing the community
- Develop and implement a plan of direct support for their personal goals
- Document progress, work with a larger team to analyze metrics and determine future steps
This full-time human services position works Monday through Friday and work locations include Sorrento Valley to Central San Diego. This position earns a starting range of $21.5023.50 per hour, and earn a $1 per hour pay increase after completing a six-month development and performance program! You will need to have a car in safe working order, vehicle insurance, a valid CA driver's license, at least 2 years of driving experience, and the ability to pass a background check. A high school diploma is required for this human services position, bachelor's in a social science preferred.
