- Manage and support relationships with the Woodpeckers Community Leaders program.
- Identifying potential Community Leader partners, signing partnership agreements, and planning/executing projects that align with the shared missions of the partners and team.
- Assist Sponsorships and the Ticket Sales team in creating meaningful community partnerships, fundraising programs, and underwriting opportunities.
- Assist with budget planning, staffing, logistics, operations, and the execution of all aspects of community and foundation activities.
- Work directly with the Houston Astros Foundation for approval and dispersal of community leader dollars for projects in our local area.
- Increase internal and community wide relationships and create a positive media presence from all community events and interactions.
- Coordinate and assist in the execution of all Fayetteville Woodpeckers community programs and events at the ballpark and beyond including the team, players, and community initiatives.
- Assist in developing and strengthening relationships with selected Fayetteville area charitable and community organizations.
- Assist in the development of relationships with active and retired military communities on and off Ft. Liberty.
- Process all incoming donation requests.
- Oversee programs such as Bunkers Buddies and the Summer Reading program, while looking for new opportunities for events and programing.
- Assist with MiLB community initiatives and activities.
- Assist with pre-game and on-field activities including autograph alley, batting practice visits, and player programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or other related field.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in Community Relations, Marketing, or Public Relations.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while working under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other database management software.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position will oversee the daily operations of Community associates and interns.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision.
