The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for spearheading the development of the CVI Rochester community engagement strategy and for executing strategic tactics to build awareness of CooperVision as an employer in the Greater Rochester area.
Job Summary:
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, marketing acumen, public relations proficiency, relationship-building skills, and a passion for community-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and creative thinker with a track record of successful community and partnership engagement.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
* Develop and execute community engagement and partnership strategies aligned with company goals and values to become a top employer of choice.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and mutual benefit.
* Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that enhance brand presence and community impact. Manage ongoing partnerships to ensure alignment and satisfaction on both sides.
* Plan and execute community-focused events, sponsorships, and outreach programs that promote company initiatives and engage local audiences.
* Develop compelling marketing materials, including press releases, social media content, and newsletters, to communicate partnership initiatives and community involvement.
* Conduct research to understand community needs and preferences and inform strategies to address these insights effectively as related to our three pillars of Awareness, Philanthropy & Recruitment.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement activities and partnerships. Prepare reports and provide recommendations for improvements based on performance metrics.
* Manage designated budget and payments in partnership with Finance
* Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing Communications, Sales, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, to align community engagement efforts with overall business objectives.
* All other duties as assigned.
Travel Requirements:
* On occasion, this role will be required to visit, plan & support and work with our manufacturing and distribution locations.
* Travel locally to represent the company at community events and meetings.
* Less than 10% travel within the US.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Proven track record of successful partnership & community engagement to support business strategy.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
* Experience in supporting the organization and execution of events, campaigns, and outreach programs both internally (employee engagement) and externally (community engagement).
* Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and marketing tools.
Work Environment:
This role will follow the hybrid work schedule based in the Victor office and may be required to attend events outside of normal work hours.
Experience:
7+ years' of experience in community engagement, partnership management, or a similar marketing role.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $98,000.00 and $129,500.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
