The Community Events Coordinator at Montgomery Cancer Center shall oversee all aspects of community events and health screenings. The Community Events Coordinator serves as a primary spokesperson for Baptist Health, presenting the organization in the most positive light while promoting all Baptist Health brands in the community, in speaking engagements and/or media interviews. This individual shall be responsible to oversee all aspects of community education and screening events within the River Region. The Coordinator will oversee the operations of the mobile cancer screening and education program with an emphasis on deployment of the mobile screening vehicle. This role may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, event management, business, or a related field.
* One to three years experience in marketing, public relations or community events, preferably in healthcare.
* Proven experience in event planning and execution, preferably in a healthcare or community organization setting.
* Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds focused on treating others with respect and dignity.
* Passion for community engagement and a genuine interest in promoting health and wellness.
