Community Forestry Service Member
The Community Forestry position at Cohanzick Climate Corps involves managing and maintaining trees and green spaces within the community. Key responsibilities include assessing tree health, performing tree care activities such as pruning and removal, and educating the public about tree preservation and environmental stewardship. The role requires a strong understanding of arboriculture practices, safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Member Duties : Properly trim, weed, mulch plants and install trees in Open Space sites and Trails. Use, maintain and properly operate ground landscape equipment. Learn and performing job site work-orders in spec to ANSI 3000 standards and safety Learn proper tree and plant-care best practices in spec with ANSI 3000 PPE - maintain and wear and all times Utilizing ArborPro or related Software to Collect and organize data reports for Tree Inventory, Hazardous Tree Identification and Heat Mapping Attend mandatory AmeriCorps Events and Meetings Attend mandatory Program Events and Meetings Attend mandatory Program Training and Education
