The primary responsibility of the Community Habilitation and Respite Coordinator is to manage the staffing, documentation, and billing for a caseload of individuals receiving Community Habilitation and/or Respite services.

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

Must have and maintain a valid drivers license with a driving record that meets the agencys insurance company driving standards. Must successfully participate in Orientation and pass all required testing.

All staff must embrace the philosophies Venture Together adheres to including Person Centered Planning and the DSP Core Competencies.

COMMUNITY HABILITATION AND RESPITE COORDINATOR

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Community Habilitation and Respite Coordinator is to manage the staffing, documentation, and billing for a caseload of individuals receiving Community Habilitation and/or Respite services. Administrative tasks will include billing, payroll, petty cash and mileage reimbursement responsibilities. The primary focus of the program is to support individuals to gain new skills, increase their independence and to provide opportunities for community inclusion. In addition to possessing a comprehensive knowledge of community resources, the Community Habilitation and Respite Coordinator is expected to embrace the philosophies Venture Together adheres to including Person Centered Planning and the Direct Support Professional (DSP) Core Competencies.

The Community Habilitation and Respite Coordinator reports to the Director of Community Habilitation and Respite Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree or higher in a human service field or health field required. One year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Experience developing habilitation plans preferred. Excellent communication skills required. Supervisory experience is preferred

Salary Range: $22.65 $26.00

Location: Nanuet, NY

Hours: Monday Friday 9:00am 5:00pm (with some flexibility)
