Position Overview

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Community Health Coordinator in the Department of Community Development and Services. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.

Under general supervision, performs complex research, analysis, and community health program creation and coordination to improve individual and community health; supervises the operations or projects of a program to support the Community Development and Services Department; performs related duties as required.

+ The standard schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 5:30pm (4 day work week)

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Community, Business, or Health Administration; Nursing; Social Work; Epidemiology; Health Science; or a related field

+ Four (4) years of full-time professional, administrative experience that is directly related to the development and administration of a community health grant or program

+ Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered

+ Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or border state driver's license, as defined by NRS 483

+ Desirable: Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification

+ Desirable: Prior experience working with behavioral and mental health or substance misuse

+ Desirable: Masters Degree in a related field
