The Kentucky Cancer Program (KCP) at Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a Community Health Worker which will be part of the Community Impact Office. This person will establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with community organizations to promote health equity. The ideal candidate willhave a deep understanding of the African American population of the greater Lexington area. This candidate will form collaborations and expand KCP's partnerships with African American community leaders, organizations and community members to identify needs and priorities related to cancer and health equity. This person will work in the field to conduct outreach and engagement activities that promote cancer prevention and cancer screenings among African Americans and underserved communities. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.This position has the potential to have a fully onsite work arrangement. The shift is Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, some evenings and weekends may be required.
