Visit our website at Shenandoah Community Health to learn more.We are looking for a Community Kitchen Coordinator for Starting Points located in Berkeley Springs. This position is responsible for coordination and implementation of the Meal Time Community Kitchen (MTCK).Role & Responsibilities:• Performs menu planning in coordination with volunteer groups.• Prepares and submits orders for food and other supplies to ensure adequate inventory for efficient project operation.• Coordinates group and individual volunteer activities to provide meals and ensure staffing for the Meal Time Community Kitchen.• Prepares food or meals as necessary to supplement volunteer efforts.• Effectively manages supplies and in-kind donations to minimize waste and spoilage.• Solicits and coordinates acceptance of in-kind donations for the MTCK.• Ensures that the kitchen and storage facilities meet established regulations and applicable safety principles. Reports any potential deficiencies to supervisor.• Actively participates in the development of projects services, providing feedback as appropriate and serving as an effective liaison among volunteers, thew community, and Starting Point's staff.• Maintain staff and client confidentiality and privacy according to SVMS policies and procedures.Qualifications & Education Requirements:• Minimum of high school diploma with food service experience• Valid driver's license and access to transportation• U.S. Citizenship or work permit• Knowledge of the county and its culture• Basic computer skills• Has or can obtain a food handler card• Ability to maintain personal cleanliness and hygiene• Ability to work independently• Criminal background check, drug screening and Child Protective Services/Adult Protective Services background check required
