The Community Life team is a student organization that strives to enhance the Warner
University student experience through community development, quality entertainment, and creative
programming. The team provides various social, recreational, cultural, spiritual, and educational
programs. As a Community Life leader, you will be expected to represent the university and the
department with integrity, enthusiasm and warmth.
REPORTS TO: Director of Community Life
OFFICE: Community Life Office
HOURS: 10-15 hours per week
SALARY LEVEL: Minimum Wage
Responsibilities & Expectations
? Attend monthly team meetings
? Attend monthly individual meetings with Director of Community Life
? Effectively and neatly advertise through various avenues of campus communication (flyers,
posters, video monitors, table tents, social media),
? Assist in coordinating campus events
? Monitor and maintain an organized system for the storage of Community Life supplies
? Commit to a one-year assignment as an employee of The Office of Student Life
? Required to work 3-10 hours in the Student Life Office each week preparing for upcoming
events or assisting with Student Life office duties. We want to be as flexible as possible
while offering a variety of availability.
? Participate in ongoing learning and service activities as assigned (i.e. attend training
sessions)
? Responsible for planning, marketing and implementing programming
? Responsible for submitting proposals, event details, evaluations, etc.
? Responsible for communicating with specific Community Life team members and
delegating necessary assignments
? Keep Warner University's Community Life Expectations
? Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
? Full-time traditional Warner Student,
? Must be work-study eligible (Federal or State)
? Able to work 10-15 hours per week
? A good attitude, a willing spirit, and a team perspective.
Community Life Student Leaders will learn:
- To constructively plan and implement a variety of campus programs that cater to the
diverse Warner University population.
- To effectively learn time management skills through juggling academics and co-curricular
activities.
- To participate in campus governance through other campus-wide committees
