Full-Time Community Monitoring Specialists may be eligible for up to a $2,000 new hire incentive bonus if hired and meet our qualifications.POSITION SUMMARY: The Community Monitoring Specialist works with adults and juveniles that have been placed on electronic monitoring, alcohol monitoring or drug screening as a condition of their probation. The Community Monitoring Specialist will be responsible for communicating with the adult and juvenile participants in regards to coordinating hook ups, schedules, conditions of the program, and assisting participants in accessing community resources. This person will also oversee some of our additional programs at the Community Wellness Center such as our Education/ Intervention and Support Program, After School Program and Summer Enrichment Program. This position pays $19.00-$19.50 hourly based on education and experience and offers full benefits, paid time off, paid sick time, paid mileage reimbursement and access to agency vehicles, up to a $2,000 new hire incentive bonus and the opportunity for overtime. This position also offers on-call pay at $80.00 per night with on-call rotation every 5 to 6 weeks with a 5 team member rotation. QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Education or Criminology field from an accredited college or university; OR High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing human services or community corrections services. Must possess demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as strong PC skills, including common MS Office applications.Demonstrated ability to be a team player required, including a capacity to work well under pressure.Must be able to meet the hours of the position, which may include evenings/weekends and on-call hours.Must have a valid driver's license (Pennsylvania or for state in which resides) and acceptable driving record.Must be eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Clearance.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must be able to identify with the agency Mission Statement and support the agency's Core Values.Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position: frequently required to stand, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear; frequently required to stoop, kneel or crouch; frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 20 pounds.POSITION SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:Initiates contact with adult offenders to coordinate hook ups and terminations of electronic monitoring device.Coordinates schedule of windows with offenders that have been approved by the probation department.Communicates with adult probation officers when offenders have violated their rules of electronic monitoring.Completes monthly reports that are forwarded to adult probation outlining the offenders' compliance with electronic monitoring.Remains on call 24/7 for continued support of Community Monitoring and Support Program participants.Remains current on available community resources in order to make appropriate service referrals to participating offenders.Maintains offender profiles in the database to facilitate monitoring of the adult offenders, pursuant to Electronic Monitoring devices training.Attends departmental and professional trainings, workshops, and conferences to ensure best practices.Job LocationButler, PAPosition TypeFull-Time/RegularWho We Are: Founded in 1854 by the Rev.
