Hartford Healthcare's Community Network is comprised of Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Homecare and Hospice Communities as well as The Center For Healthy Aging. As a part of the Community Network, Hartford Healthcare Senior Services is committed to helping Seniors remain as healthy and independent as possible through every stage of their lives.

The Community Outreach Assistant will support the Senior Services marketing department projects by writing, editing, researching/interviewing, distributing and promoting events, news, and testimonials representing all entities of Hartford HealthCare Senior Services.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or Journalism (or closely related area), Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Excellent command of the English language and the ability to persuade others through written materials and partnership.
• Experience in creating marketing materials or writing content for magazines, newspapers, websites or other publications.
• Conduct staff, patient and family interviews to use for marketing content.
• High level of knowledge & proficiency with desktop publishing software and social media channels.
• The ability to attend some off-schedule events on evenings & weekends and periodically visit Community Network Communities.
