Source One is a consulting services company and we're currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant with our direct client, a major utility company in Newark, NJ. This role will require you to be onsite and you must be Local to Melville, Long Island New York .
Title: Community Outreach Service Coordinator
Location: Melville, Long Island New York
Contract Duration: 2 years
w2 Rate: $32.00 hourly
(40 hours Mon-Fri)

***Driving is required to assist with setting up at each CPP location site for events*** Contractor can expense for mileage.
***Manager will consider candidates with entry level experience or college graduates
Position description:
- Community Outreach team requires logistical and event support for community outreach related initiatives for Client Long Island. Successful candidate will possess proven project organization and logistical skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Position will be a flexible 40-hour work week which may include Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support Client Long Island activities and resources needed to execute community outreach events including securing appropriate supplies as well as set up and breakdown of events (as needed).
- Manage and maintain inventory of event supplies (tents, chairs, tables etc.….) and giveaway items including tracking of supplies. This includes receiving and stocking of boxes.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Assist with coordination and scheduling of community events
- Represent and/or set up Client Long Island table/supplies at community events during the week or weekends (as needed).
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Personable with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently but also take direction as needed
- Should possess adequate transportation to transport event equipment and supplies to different locations across the Island.
Additional Notes
- Provide administrative support for community related events: entering volunteers in database, coordinate supplies needed for event (brochures, tablecloths, banners, etc.), maintaining inventory, ordering new supplies, ability to lift up to 50lbs, solicit more volunteers if needed.
- Strong work ethic, ability to follow moderate level of guidance
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal) and computer skills (excel and word) required
- Ideal candidate will have STRONG multitasking, time management and project management skills
- Transferrable skills are fine but project management skills is a PLUS!!!
- Travel- can carpool or use own vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed
- Candidates must be available to work a flexible shift**** Majority of the time, the shift will be Monday- Friday 8am-5pm. However, if there is an event, the candidate might need to work after hours up to 7pm or later.
