Community Outreach Specialist VISTA
NPower creates pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. Through targeted outreach and engagement with community-based organizations, the program aims to raise awareness of NPower's free IT training and job placement services. Community Outreach Specialists will work closely with recruitment and admissions teams, fostering partnerships with local agencies to create opportunities for training and career advancement.Specialists will assist with developing and implement outreach strategies, create engaging content for social media and marketing materials, and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance the visibility of NPower's programs. By doing so, the program not only helps individuals access critical training and employment resources but also contributes to breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering a skilled workforce in the tech industry. Member Duties : Assist with year-round trainee recruitment efforts nationwide Develop relationships with young adult and veteran workforce development agencies and community-based organizations Host informational sessions and attend tabling and networking events to generate applicants Screen, schedule, and interview candidates for the Tech Fundamentals programs Meet with regional NPower offices to coordinate recruiting efforts
